How to Point Your Domain to Your Server

To make your domain resolve to your Circle City Servers server, you need to update your DNS records. This article explains the most common method.

Using an A Record

  1. Obtain your server's IP address from your Welcome Email or the Client Area.
  2. Log into your domain registrar's control panel.
  3. Find the DNS management section.
  4. Create or edit an A record for your domain.
  5. Enter your server's IP address as the target.
  6. Save the changes.

Example DNS Records

  • @ A record pointing to your-server-ip
  • www CNAME record pointing to example.com

Propagation

DNS changes can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate worldwide, though they often take effect within a few hours.
