How to Set Up Private Networking

Private networking allows your servers to communicate over an isolated internal network, improving security and reducing bandwidth costs.

Availability

Private networking availability depends on your data center location and service type. Contact support to confirm it is available for your servers.

Setup Steps

  1. Open a support ticket or use your control panel to request private networking.
  2. We will assign an internal IP range to your servers.
  3. Configure the internal IP address on each server's network interface.
  4. Verify connectivity by pinging the internal IPs.

Example Internal IP

Common private IP ranges include:

  • 10.0.0.0/8
  • 172.16.0.0/12
  • 192.168.0.0/16
